DESCRIPTION

Contouring is the beauty technique that everyone is obsessed with – literally you can completely restructure your face by using shade and light in the right places. Contour cream often looks less obvious than powder contour, so it’s great if you want to opt for a more natural, subtle contour.

FAQ

Apply Mac contour cream to the skin using a brush as desired. Use the lighter shades to emphasize brow bones, cheekbones and the bridge of the nose. Use the deeper shades to enhance the natural contours of your face.

The ideal cream contour brush should have dense synthetic bristles and an easy-clean brush head. So before applying the Mac contour cream, make sure you purchase the right brush.

You can purchase the Mac beauty products from their main website, beauty department stores, and online marketing sites such as eBay.

These are for concealer (after you neutralize redness and dark circles), as well as contouring areas of your face and creating definition in your look. So, it actually depends on your skin tone and facial shape and what you look you are going for if you are willing to apply the Mac contour cream.

Although the finish and look it gives underneath/mixed with makeup is beautiful, I have only been able to use it 2-3 times. Because every time time I used it, it broke me out. I once used it all over the face and it broke me out. Then once the skin healed, I tried it again ilat the high points of my face where I'd want the light to naturally hit and glow, it broke me out again. Sad that it's now sitting in my drawer expiring away and I am too scared to use it :(

I've heard a lot of good things about this base plus moisturizer product, and I was finally able to try it thanks to MAC! It is moisturizing but doesn't add too much glowyness. Especially for the pink light I've tried has minimal glow, but it's natural and looks good on the skin.

Applying cream contour is a great way to instantly shape your face and emphasize your cheekbones. While contouring can be intimidating, skin contour creams are easy to blend and provide full coverage, allowing you to create a seamless, chiseled look. Once you select the right cream contour for your skin tone, create a base with your usual foundation, and learn where to apply your product, you can start contouring like a pro!

Cream contours are usually better compared to powdered counterparts, mainly for their ease of use and the natural, dewy finish they leave us with. In terms of blending it with your other makeup, it's also much better using creams rather than alternating between liquids and powders.

To find the best cream contour for your skin, you'll first want to find a highly pigmented formula, to ensure the look lasts as long as the festivities. The contour use should be a few shades darker than your foundation or concealer, so it can be seen but isn't too harsh. Most contour cream palettes will also come with a lighter shade, in order for you to highlight the parts of your face that will benefit from it the most.

The one brand that we are going to discuss about their contours here is Mac Cosmetics.

MAC Cosmetics, stylized as M·A·C, is a Canadian cosmetics manufacturer founded in Toronto in 1984 by Frank Toskan and Frank Angelo. The company is headquartered in New York City after becoming a subsidiary of Estée Lauder Companies in 1996. MAC is an acronym for Make-up Art Cosmetics.

With the Studio Conceal and Correct Palette, MAC Cosmetics wants to keep it simple, while still providing a customizable concealer experience that encourages you to seek out the right look for you that you can achieve by switching up your concealer.

What we really appreciate about this contour cream by Mac Cosmetics, is specifically the amount of choices one gets in a set. The abundance of shades not only allows you to select the right color, but also mix colors to create the absolute best contour cream palette color for whatever purpose you need—whether for spot correction or even highlighting. This product also has a good level of coverage—definitely buildable between medium to full, depending on how you choose to apply this creamy concealer formula. Once this concealer is set, we really like the way the finish looks. While it’s definitely not dewy, it’s also not particularly mattifying, thus the covered areas get a nice, natural look to them. Finally, this concealer is one of the more long-wearing formulas we’ve come across, wearing for a solid eight hours before beginning to fade (without creasing or bruising too badly).

The ingredients of the Mac Cosmetics contour cream are, Talc, zinc stearate, octyldodecyl stearoyl stearate, isostearyl neopentanoate, tocopheryl acetate, caprylyl glycol, hexylene glycol, phenoxyethanol,  [+/- silica, mica, titanium dioxide (ci 77891), iron oxides (ci 77491, ci 77492, ci 77499), bismuth oxychloride (ci 77163), blue 1 lake (ci 42090), carmine (ci 75470), chromium hydroxide green (ci 77289), chromium oxide greens (ci 77288), ferric ferrocyanide (ci 77510), manganese violet (ci 77742), red 40 lake (ci 16035), ultramarines (ci 77007), yellow 5 lake (ci 19140)].
