I researched soooo many IPL devices before settling on this one due to the price and features. I have light skin and thick dark hair.
Pros: It works (kind of). After 1 year if using this thing on and off, I have noticed a significant reduction in hair on my legs and it does take a long time to grow back. Some areas dont come back at all.
Cons: Its not 100% effective. Then again, I used it every 2 weeks, then 4 weeks, then I'd use it again once I'd see hair come back in spots.
If you shave then miss a hair, or have an ingrown hair, and you'd go over it with the device, you'd feel ZAP and it would hurt! At least you know it's working.
It would take about an hour to do both legs and the angle of the handle would make it awkward in certain places, so that was annoying.
So, for the most part it works. I'd rather have patchy stubble that grows back in 3 weeks than a thick lawn overnight. I'm going to Keep using it and hopefully I'll catch the hair in the right cycles and thin my growth more.
