I've been taking one pill a day and don't notice anything different at all. I decided to increase to two pills a day to see if it makes any difference. I'm wondering if people get paid to write good reviews honestly with things like this and other pills because if something seems too good to be true, it usually is. I will update my review in a few weeks if any changes.

I took this three hours ago for the first time. I took one pill right before bed, hopeful that it would help me relaxand enhance my sleep. I am having the opposite reaction! I currently feel like I'm about to crawl out of my skin. I'm so amped up that I feel like I'm literally buzzing. My mind is racing and I can't stay still. My heart rate is elevated. I've never felt anything quite like this, and I can't even come close to sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a rough one. Be careful!

The bottle did not come in its original box. The pills look like they've been sealed but not by a company. The phyto capsules are usually different colors. The stuff inside is a thick black substance that doesn't move until the pill is cut open and it smells like prunes. These are definitely fake!!! Plus, the ID on the bottle doesn't work on Gaia meetyourherb.com.

I wanted to take ashwagandha because I read the research on how it can impact cortisol levels, but it made my heart rate spike to just over 100 bpm. I felt quite unwell which I'm sure defeated the purpose of reducing cortisol. I looked it up and there is a known side effect that ashwagandha can cause a high heart rate in some individuals. This isn't the fault of Gaia -- but just know that this is a possible side effect of the herb no matter who you purchase it from.
