What are cannabinoids and why are they important?
Inside the cannabis plant, there is a classification of compounds known as cannabinoids.
These include CBD and THC, along with hundreds of others that scientists have discovered that are naturally found in various species of cannabis.
In 1995, researchers discovered that by interacting with the receptors on the human endocannabinoid system (ECS), cannabinoids, such as CBD, could provide unique health benefits to the body.
Later, they found that each cannabinoid could affect the body differently.
For example, while THC offers the psychological effects of climbing, CBD does not. In fact, CBD can counteract the psychological effects of active THC.
Despite the variety of effects delivered by other cannabinoids such as Cannabigerol (CBG) and Cannabinol (CBN), the complete set of cannabinoids forms what is called the "cannabinoid spectrum".
As you probably know, the cannabinoid spectrum in a product is what determines whether the product is a full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, or isolated CBD spectrum.
So, how exactly does it work?
CBD oil extracted from high yielding cannabis species contains all the other cannabinoids and plant ingredients. Most oils containing 99% CBD isolates have been shown to be more effective in treating epilepsy. Why ? What are the differences between Full Spectrum CBD oil and CBD oil (99% isolated)?
Full Spectrum CBD Oil is a pure oil extracted from hemp and contains all the ingredients in the main hemp plant. This type of oil is completely pure and contains a combination of cannabinoids and other essential minerals, vitamins, proteins, fatty acids, chlorophyll, terpenes, flavonoids and fiber.
CBD (Cannabidiol) is abundant in Full Spectrum CBD oil. It is a non-psychoactive compound that has been shown to be beneficial in many ways. CBD makes up to 90% of the full-spectrum cannabinoid content in CBD oil. If you consume Full Spectrum CBD, you will benefit greatly from the "Entourage Effect". When all cannabinoids and terpenes work together they work together to create a special effect.
The whole CBD spectrum oil contains a set of effective compounds:
Cannabinol (CBN)
Cannabigerol (CBG)
Cannabischroman (CBC)
Los Terpenes include Limonene, Pinene, Linalool, Caryophyllene, Humulene.
Vitamins and minerals such as vitamins A, C and E as well as complex B vitamins.
Essential fats and proteins such as omega 3 and omega 6.
To put it simply, hemp oil is the purest form of hemp oil. While CBD isolate is the crystalline form of hemp oil. In crystalline form, CBD is isolated from other cannabinoids in hemp. Long-term isolation of cannabidiol is one of the purest types of CBD.
CBD Isolation Powder and CBD Isolated Crystals are two forms found in CBD oil. It has many powerful and purest benefits. This powder contains only the chemical composition Cannabidiol.
This extraction is mainly done from the cannabis plant, so it obtains CBD in its purest form. It is then purified and then cooled to remove excess wax. Which in the end produces a beautiful white powder containing 99% pure cannabidiol. Products containing CBD are labeled as 99% pure because CBD is isolated from other compounds.
If you use isolated CBD, it is very important to check the purity of CBD without any detectable amount of THC.
When Crystal Isolates Are Injected into Terpenes Terposlates. CBD can be consumed directly or added to beverages. And even used in cooking or even used topically.
Comparison
If we compare these two types of CBD oils, the main difference is in their forms. The whole range is crude oil extracted from hemp oil, along with all the other ingredients. While CBD oil is the crystalline form of CBD.
The drug, Epidiolex, contains 99% pure CBD. This drug is designed to treat severe types of epilepsy. But this product is very expensive and almost not available to patients.
If we consider the combination of CBD oil with full spectrum, this combination will include all the compounds in hemp in certain concentrations such as CBD, CBN, CBG, fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. On the other hand, we consider the isolated form of CBD, isolated from all other compounds in hemp oil, we get 99% of the purest form of CBD. It is considered more effective than CBD oil with full spectrum.
Full spectrum CBD oil for the treatment of epilepsy
However, new research shows that hemp oil does not contain all the other cannabinoids found in hemp (including THC) to be effective even in the treatment of epilepsy. The results were discovered by Brazilian researchers who studied the effects of CBD on epilepsy patients between 2013 and 2017. Results is in the Journal of Nerve Boundaries.
According to the study, 71 patients, some of whom were treated with full-spectrum oil extracts, reported improvement. Compared to only 36 cases in those treated with pure CBD oil. CBD oil works in full spectrum with endocannabinoids (small molecules that activate cannabinoid receptors).
If we compare the types of concentrations, then a wide range of oils is the best option for patients with epilepsy.
On the other hand, the use of isolates provides 99% more CBD. Therefore, each type of oil depends only on how it is used. These two CBD oils are useful in many ways.
