TruSkin Vitamin C Serum Reviews

I tried it and I immediately got a rash, redness, swelling and burning. It’s been 3 days and no change

I’m not sure how I feel about this product... I’ve been using it every morning for about 4 months, but I’m not sure that it’s helping my skin. I still have some redness and discoloration. What I do like is that there is absolutely no scent to this serum and it is really lightweight.

I purchased this product to help fade my hyperpigmentation leftover from acne. I have extremely dry, sensitive skin. I use CeraVe hydrating cleanser every morning. Used this serum, tarte maracuja oil, and moisturizer with SPF. At night I would cleanse, use this serum, maracuja oil, and Origins night-a-mins cream. The origins night cream contains vitamin C and helped fade my acne marks a lot. I wanted more results so I purchased this vitamin C serum. I used it for over a month and experienced breakouts on my cheeks and forehead, leaving me with more red marks on my face. I stopped using it a few weeks ago and my skin is starting to completely clear up again. I know not to venture away from dermatologist recommended skincare ever again.

I am 47 year old women with combination/sensitive acne prone skin. I have looked high and low for a product line that maneuvered perfectly between my myriad of issues that is reasonably priced. . This product does exactly what it says. I wash with the Daily Facial Cleanser, tone with the TruSkin Toner and I also use the super Serum and the Vitamin C moisturizer. My skin is clear and feels soft and non-greasy. I really like this product line.
I want to say that I did check this particular product on Fake Spot. The product got a C and TruSkin, the company, got a C. Not a great review honesty rating for the product but adequate. I hope this company will do better in the future.

I rely a lot on reviews....hoping to at least find credible reviews from which I can reasonably assume are honest and real. It is sad how many reviews on Amazon are NOT...there is a whole lot of shenanigans going on as far as selling products via false reviews. Be an educated consumer as well as an advocate for a more honest Amazon. Check your reviews!

43yo woman here. I am prone to the rare chin breakout during that time of the month but otherwise my skin is relatively clear with just some small blackhead on the nose and chin. I am routinely taken for a woman 10 years younger and I'd like to keep it that was a long as possible. After reading so many reviews I gave this a shot and I'm very glad I did. My skin has cleared up considerably in the 3 months I've been using this procust. I put it on every morning under my makeup, after my shower, and again before bed. I follow it up with light Oil of Olay moisturizer twice a day and WOW my skin looks so great! The texture is smoother, I have even less small acne than before and overall I see a marked improvement in my complexion. Love this stuff and will continue to buy it over and over each time the bottle runs out.

I’ve been struggling with acne for YEARS. I have very acne-prone skin. I get a new pimple almost every day and it seemed like there was never a time I didn’t have a pimple on my face. Acne leaves super dark blemishes/scars on my face. I do believe my acne is partly genetic - another reason may be stress from college and not getting enough sleep. I’ve tried all different types of moisturizers and cleansers. Nothing worked. However I bought this serum on a whim. Omgggg. Guys. Literally my face stopped flaring within 3 days. I was PIMPLE FREE FOR MORE THAN 48 hours (a new record). In the photo, the left side was day 1 of applying serum. As you can see I had extremely dark blemishes and active pimples. The photo to the right shows my skin exactly 2 months later. Blemishes have faded DRASTICALLY and I have no active breakouts. This hasn’t happened in years. I truly and honestly think it is due to this product. If you are hesitant, don’t be BUY IT!

Hello my fellow amazon-lovers. First I want to say that I never write reviews... but I am just TOO excited to not share my results with you. A little bit of a background first- I am 23 years old, a medical student, with very TIRED, acne-prone, and dull skin. I have struggled with acne throughout my entire adolescent and adult life. I have used many products all over the market--including Proactiv, Proactiv+, birth control, and nearly every drug store product you can think of. Some things will keep my acne at bay, but....the years of heavy chemicals trying to treat my acne has definitely hurt the integrity of my skin. I have had new fine lines, wrinkles, HEAVY bags, and dark circles. I started doing research on skin care and decided to completely re-vamp my beauty routine. If you care about your skin, you should not hesitate in purchasing this serum. To be very fair with you, I need to explain my daily routine--and ALL the products I use (some from amazon, some from the drugstore. but all reasonably affordable). My skin is still not perfect. I do have a few blemishes that will pop up, but as for my skin overall... it has helped tremendously. These are my TWO WEEK results using this serum. Yes. I said it... TWO WEEKS. I do plan on updating this in a few months. Now, I will list below my entire CURRENT routine. Once again, DON'T HESITATE.
 

The results are unbelievable, Was a bit skeptical because all the reviews were from Caucasian women. I was slightly worried that my skin would not respond as well but I was quite mistaken.
With or without makeup, my skin is bright, smooth and my spots are disappearing.
One other result i am sure a number of people have not noticed is that your palms get softer too, i guess the residue on the palms makes it soft and supple.

I had been Skinceuticals customer in the past, but wanted something a little more budget friendly and found the reviews on TruSkin products and thought I'd give them a try (especially since I could buy the entire product line for the cost of a single Skinceuticals product!) I purchased the Vitamin C serum, the HA serum, eye cream, face wash and the Vitamin C moisturizer and began using them on 8/8. I was hoping to reduce the constant redness and get rid of the little bumps and fine lines popping up on this 40 year old face. These pics are dated 8/12 and 8/18. I have no products on in either picture. The redness has gone down a lot and SOMEHOW I didn't even notice that I had bags under my eyes, but that has gone down quite a bit as well. The texture of my skin is much nicer. I'm very skeptical of reviews that claim to have dramatic overnight effects. I don't look radically different after a week, but I can definitely see progress! If this is a weeks' worth of progress I think I will be pretty happy in a month or two. I was very pleasantly surprised how well the serums absorb. I wear powder mineral makeup and I feel moisturized, but not the "wet" feeling some other products leave behind so the powder goes on smoothly!

This product has broken me out horribly, and is not my first vitamin c serum, so I do not have sensitive skin towards vit.c/h.acid.I know when you start a new skin product you can expect and initial breakout but it's been a month and my skin has not calmed down. It's horrible, I only have acne flair ups around that time of the month and this has made my skin worse than it ever has been. Really upset as I do not wear makeup and had to go out and buy concealer to deal with the side effects of this serum.

Apparently I’m allergic to something in this serum because i had a major reaction to it after just using it for a couple days. I wasn’t even putting it on my eyes and they puffed up and became super itchy and irritated. I’m sure this doesn’t happen to everyone, but I will not be buying this again and I’m hoping to get a full refund. Adding a super embarrassing photo as well just to prove that it really did swell up my face.

- I cleanse my face every morning and night with Burt’s Bees deep cleansing cream, then moisturizer and follow it with 3 drops of this serum (one drop for each cheek + chin and one drop for my forehead).
